[VHS G] EUCLID BEACH CAROUSEL, THE LONG JOURNEY HOME. [NTSC] Built in 1909 by the PTC and designated simply “Carousel 19,” for two generations this carousel was the star attraction at Cleveland’s Euclid Beach park. When the park closed in 1969, it was sold and moved to Old Orchard Beach, Maine, where it entertained yet another generation of children. When that park closed in 1997 many believed that it was also the end for PTC #19 and the 54 beautiful, hand carved horses seemed destined to be scattered to private collectors at auction. This VHS tells of the true story of what happened next; the story of PTC #19, and its unforgettable 90-year journey home. |
